The First Wesleyan Church of Tuscaloosa has been in existence since 1914. The church originally met in a store building on the corner of Greensboro Avenue and 26th Street until April 2, 1952. On that date, services began being held in a newly constructed building at the same site. The church met in that facility until October 1982, when the first building on the present site was occupied, although the sanctuary (current student center) was not completed until December 4, 1983. In the spring of 1998, a new, state of the art sanctuary was completed to accomodate a growing congregation.

But ours is not a history of facilities and property.  It is a story (actually many stories) of God transforming the lives of people through the power of Jesus Christ today.  That's why our greatest days are still ahead!
